The goal of NASCAR Heat is to appeal to both the simulation and arcade audiences. The design philosophy from the outset was clear: High-end simulation racing fans will know how to dig into the options and use the Expert Mode to the fullest, but mainstream racing fans picking this game up for the first time are less likely to know how to dig into the menus and tweak the settings. So within the options menu you may choose between Normal and Expert Modes. Normal Mode is a combination of special physics models and artificial intelligence to drop fans of all skill levels into a great racing experience. Expert Mode, in contrast, turns on the simulation-style physics and AI and it also opens up more menu options, such as the garage, in certain areas. |
